Day One: Registration, Bronco Line‑Up, Drive the Mac, and Drone Show
Day One kicks off with registration and the massive Bronco lineup for the Mackinac Bridge crossing. Our group checked in quickly and joined the sea of Broncos stretching across the staging area. While waiting for the crossing to begin, we spent time talking with other owners — learning where they were from, hearing about their builds, and swapping stories about past adventures. It’s one of the best parts of the event: meeting people from all over the country who share the same passion.
When it was time to roll out, we were escorted by police across the Mackinac Bridge, starting in the Upper Peninsula, crossing into the Lower Peninsula, and looping back again. The entire crossing took about an hour, with speeds topping out around 25 mph. It’s not about speed — it’s about the experience, the views, and the massive line of Broncos stretching across one of Michigan’s most iconic landmarks.

Over the course of three hours, we covered 9.72 miles of mixed terrain — everything from smooth dirt and gravel to tight, overgrown, muddy sections that required four‑wheel drive. The payoff was worth every rut and branch: a quiet, beautiful spot called Hay Lake, tucked away at the end of the trail and absolutely worth the journey.
Day Two: Guided Off‑Roading and All‑Day Adventure
Day Two is where the real off‑roading begins. We packed for a long day and met up with our assigned trail team — roughly 20 Broncos, led by a guide vehicle up front and a tail vehicle in the back. We had signed up for the intermediate trail ride, which required signing liability waivers and damage acknowledgments. And yes, the warnings are real: you can damage your Bronco on this ride. For those who prefer to avoid that risk, a pavement‑only option is available.
Our group was ready for the dirt.
Over the next 8 hours, we covered 84.3 miles of trails and backroads. Some sections overlapped with the trails we explored the day before, but most were brand new — and far more challenging. This ride will push a non‑Sasquatch Bronco to its limits. You’ve been warned.
